A Brief Summary Of The Rules
- Place 1, 2 or 3 tiles in a line, touching one or more existing tiles
- Score points for each of the groups of 2 or 3 tiles you create
- You score in both directions
- 2 tiles side by side must total 15 or less
- 3 tiles side by side must total EXACTLY 15
- There must never be more that 3 tiles side by side
- A run of 3 tiles is called a Trio and scores a bonus of 15 points
- Play all 3 tiles in one go for a Triolet and score a 50 point bonus
- Replenish your rack after your turn - you never have more that 3 tiles
- Score Double or Triple points by landing on the special squares
- Have another go by landing on the BIS square
- The small number in the bottom right of each tile indicates how many of that tile start in the bag
- The highest cumulative score is the winner!

Variations
The 3 Tile Rule
The original French rules have an instruction to 'Remove 3 tiles' at the start, and place them face down so that nobody knows what they are. When we translated the rules into English, we realised that we never played that rule. We asked the opinion of other Triolet players, and they agreed that by not playing the rule you reduce the influence of luck on the game.
